Stord Earns GMP Accreditation for Reno, NV and Atlanta, GA Facilities

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) accreditation demonstrates Stord’s adherence to operating conditions and requirements necessary to ensure proper hygiene for food warehousing and fulfillment.

ATLANTA, February 13, 2024 — Stord, a leader in high-volume fulfillment services and technology for omnichannel mid-market and enterprise brands, recently received GMP accreditation for its Reno, NV and Atlanta, GA warehousing and fulfillment facilities. This accreditation means that Stord meets 21 operational conditions and requirements under the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) to provide hygienic warehousing and fulfillment services for food and nutrition brands.

The GMP accreditation further solidifies Stord’s expertise in powering DTC and B2B fulfillment for food, beverage, and nutrition brands. The GMP guidelines cover the:

  • Construction and layout of the food premises

  • Training provided to the employees

  • Adequate maintenance of equipment used within the company

  • Use of suitable chemicals within and around the food premises including cleaning chemicals, pest control chemicals, and machine lubricants

  • Implementation and effectiveness of the traceability system

  • Prevention of product and packaging contamination

  • Cleanliness of premises, equipment, floors, walls, and ceilings.

“For food, beverage, and nutrition brands, ensuring product cleanliness and hygiene are critical to the customer experience,” said Sean Henry, CEO and co-founder of Stord. “By earning GMP accreditation, Stord’s brand customers can rest easy knowing their product is being handled properly, and they’re delivering exceptional consumer experiences.”
