Stord Labs?

A physical intelligence lab at our Atlanta headquarters, Stord Labs runs AI, robotics, and advanced operational designs against real orders on the same WMS and OMS that power our production network.

Because our technology and operations run on a single unified stack, innovations proven here don’t need to be re-integrated or re-tested facility by facility. They deploy everywhere, immediately. That is what makes Stord Labs different from any other innovation program in logistics.

What We Test

ROBOTICS & AUTOMATION

From autonomous mobile robots to goods-to-person systems to agentic robotics that make real-time decisions based on live AI inference, Stord Labs evaluates which technologies deliver measurable productivity gains in a real multi-client environment.

AI & OPERATIONAL INTELLIGENCE

We build and validate AI-driven tools for demand forecasting, dynamic slotting, predictive replenishment, and pick path optimization. We also build agentic AI systems that recommend and execute actions against live operational data. We optimize based on the real data of your business.

DIGITAL TWIN MODELLING

Operational data from Stord Labs feeds simulation models that stress-test workflows, slotting strategies, and facility designs at enterprise scale. The lab is 10,000 square feet. The models it produces are not.

How it Works

HYPOTHESIS

Every experiment begins with a clearly defined hypothesis, success criteria, and measurement framework. We do not run experiments without knowing what success looks like.

REAL-CONDITIONS TESTING

Technologies are tested against real workflows including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and returns, using both real and synthetic orders processed through Stord's live WMS and OMS. Vendor demos do not tell you how a technology performs in your environment. Real orders do.
