ATLANTA, Jan. 25, 2019 — The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the state’s leading association dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of Georgia’s technology industry, announced STORD as one of its Top 40 Innovative Technology Companies. TAG will recognize honorees at The Summit 2019 event on Feb. 11-12, 2019, at the Cobb Galleria Centre.
“We are delighted to be recognized by TAG for the success our clients are having in partnering with STORD to solve their warehousing and supply chain problems at scale,” said Sean Henry, CEO and co-founder, STORD. “We are extremely grateful to be named to this prestigious list of the top innovative companies, and it’s an honor that we attribute to our customers’ success in using our solution to revolutionize the shipping industry.”
TAG’S annual Top 40 Awards recognize Georgia-based technology companies for their innovation, financial impact, and efforts at spreading awareness of Georgia’s technology initiatives throughout the U.S. and globally.
“The 2019 Top 40 finalists are an elite group of innovators who represent the very best of Georgia’s Technology community,” said Larry K. Williams, President and CEO of TAG. “The 2019 Top 40 finalists are shining examples of what makes our state such a hotbed for technology, and we applaud them for standing out as leaders in Georgia’s technology community.”
Companies selected for the “Top 40” will be showcased in an exhibition at The Summit 2019. The event – the state’s largest technology showcase – will feature internationally recognized keynote speakers, the honorees of the Top 40 and Top 10 Innovative Georgia Companies competition, the newest inductee into the Technology Hall of Fame of Georgia, 30 breakout sessions on global tech trends, and a two-day exhibitor showcase.
“The STORD story started in Atlanta, and we’ve built our company in Georgia because of its strength as a central hub for technology,” said Henry. “We experienced a period of rapid growth in 2018, multiplying revenue by a factor of 6 and tripling headcount, creating job opportunities in the Metro Atlanta area, and we’re excited to share our story at The Summit 2019 alongside tech leaders, thinkers, inventors, and luminaries.
