Best Buy Prepares Inventory Network for Peak Season

Best Buy has opened up three new warehouses known as “metro e-commerce centers” in Los Angeles, Chicago and New Jersey. These facilities are stocked with thousands of Best Buy’s current best-selling items and are designed to provide next-day delivery to 50 million customers. The company has also been front-loading inventory to minimize impact from the U.S.-China tariffs.

Target Expands Drive Up Service to 50 States

Target’s Drive Up service, which loads orders pre-purchased through the Target app into customers’ cars within “two minutes” of arriving at the store, has been expanded to all 50 states. The service is now available for 1,750 Target stores.

CBRE Names Markets with Highest Demand for Warehouses

Real estate services and investment firm CBRE has identified 14 markets in the U.S. where demand for warehouses is booming. E-commerce, 3PLs, manufacturing, and food and beverage industries, which have been the primary drivers of warehouse demand, are expected to be the primary occupants.
