Meet Emerson, Controller at STORD, and learn how he played a critical role in STORD’s Series A funding.

Why did you choose STORD?

STORD’s Director of Operations has been a friend of mine for over a decade and had been speaking highly of the company since the day he began working here. Not only did he sell me on STORD’s place in the supply chain technology space, but he also raved about the culture.

What do you do at STORD?

I handle all things accounting and finance-related, from ensuring Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions are properly recorded to handling invoicing and payment with our vendors and customers. I’ve also played an essential role in creating financial reports that analyze operations and assess opportunities as we continue to grow.

What has been your favorite project to work on?

Generating the analytics behind our Series A funding with CEO Sean Henry. The analyses were in-depth and diving into the numbers was a blast. Researching an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform to best fit STORD’s needs as we continue to rapidly grow has also been gratifying.

What would you say to someone considering a career at STORD?

I would tell them it’s an incredible opportunity to join a growing startup. We have so many creative minds on our team and people with true passion for the work they do. You’ll be a part of a group of co-workers with common goals and a strong desire to succeed.

What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

When my eyes aren’t glued to the rows and columns of spreadsheets, you’ll find me traveling and playing in professional golf tournaments — chasing my dream of winning on the PGA Tour. Since 2017, I have traveled over 125,000 miles across 20 states and 2 countries recording over 500 birdies in competition.
